Ayurvedic Massage dates back 3000 years in Indian medicine. The name derives from two sanskrit words Ayur and Veda and loosely translates to "Science of Life". It is comprised of healing plants, essential oils, diet, massage, yoga, meditation, breathwork and baths.
After treatment, the client will leave feeling more grounded, centered and present in the moment. This is also known as being in a more Homeostatic state.
Its emphasis is on cleansing the body of emotional and physiological impurities and balancing the doshas (Psycho-Social-Constitution) by connecting the individual back to universal energy (Prana).
Why use Essential Oils?
* Most are anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-tumeral which makes them great for fighting infection.
* Their chemical make up is very similiar to human cells and tissues, making them easily absorbed into the body.
* Essential Oils have the unique ability to penetrate cell membranes and diffuse throughout blood and tissues.
* When applied to the skin, an essential can be found in every cell of the body within 20 minutes of application.
