A massage catering to athletes or individuals involved in sports or strenuous physical activity. It targets specific parts of the body that are in need of pre-event conditioning, post-event conditioning, rehabilitative treatment or restorative treatment for those who wish to train harder while experiencing less pain or injury. Endurance and performance are enhanced with bodywork and stretching during the massage to increase mobility and reduce recovery time. This technique uses a 4 to 7 Pressure which is more medium to deep. This pressure is much deeper and is more stimulating to the muscles. Pain scale should be at a 'hurts so good' level and is very therapeutic.

The L.I.F.T. Method: Ligament Influenced Fascial Technique
A vast background of methodology such as neuromuscular reeducation techniques, Pilates principles, the basic concepts of MLT, fascial tensegrity and function, Myofascial Testing, muscle testing at end range for neurological feedback have all contributed to the evolutionary L.I.F.T. Method. We have discovered that this approach not only restores fascial length, but restores the muscle’s ability to function on demand by addressing the fascial component of muscle structure. With the ability to test the fascial length and muscle neuro function, there is measurable pre and post treatment proof of the positive changes the LIFT Method produces, even effecting the autonomic systems. The neuromuscular reeducation while utilizing the ligaments creates tensegrity change that lasts! LIFT brings all of these concepts together allowing the therapist to treat patients quickly and effectively.
Ask your therapist if using a L.I.F.T. Method would help increase your body's range of motion and relieve pain.
This technique can be done with the client fully clothed on the table.
